PLEXR (Excisional Plasma): non-surgical blepharoplasty
PLEXR is a revolutionary new non-invasive technique for treating droopy upper eyelids.
The treatment protocol consists of the application 30 minutes before the procedure of an anesthetic cream to the area to be treated. The PLEXR handpiece is then passed over the skin surface to be treated. A voltaic arc vaporizes the excess skin responsible. There is no incision or bleeding, no damage to surrounding tissues and no risk of eye deformation.
The session lasts around twenty minutes during which the patient feels a slight heat.
The number of sessions depends on the amount of excess skin. They vary from 1 to 4. They are spaced one month apart. You should not be exposed to the sun one month before and in the month following the session, just like a laser session. This is the reason why tanned or phototype V (black) skin is the main contraindication to this treatment.
The results are spectacular, natural and are achieved after a week after the disappearance of small scabs. There is no social exclusion because the scabs can be made up or hidden by sunglasses.
Patients of Asian origin wishing to have their eyes debrided can use this technique thanks to the vaporization of epicanthus.
Plexr treatment uses lightweight equipment that can be moved, thus making it possible to provide care at home. Contact us to find out more.
